Farm and valley
This is our village in Ariege Upper Valley, in Pyrenees. More exactly, our villages because La Ferme Aux Anes is spread over 2 villages of the Cornices Road : Unac at 700 meters and Appy at 1000 m of altitude.
Yves and Hélène live in Unac . Here we welcome hikers.
The farm buildings are in Appy, near David and Laurence. They rent a lodging in an old barn.
Around us, as you see, is the mountain. In the bottom and sides of the valley, there are the villages. At altitude, pastures that receive large flocks in summer.
And here we are, David, Helen, Yves, the 3 farmers taking care of donkeys and cows.
A farm is more than 3 people working there. Each family member participates, bringing its know-how, a network of friends and colleagues in this valley is always needed for helping hand.
Finally, to complete the presentation, adding that we are resolutely opposed to the introduction of predators, a struggle we have with our Pyreneans friends . Involved in local development, lover of our mountains and of the life we lead there, we intend to keep them, quiet and alive.
