Practical information and booking required
Day hikes in the Orlu Reserve are organized from July 1st to August 31st.
You can choose your departure time between 9:15 AM and 11:00 AM. You are free to return whenever you like, provided it is before 6:30 PM.
Allow about 45 minutes for an introduction and to get acquainted with the donkey; for example, if your appointment is at 10:00 AM, you will start walking around 10:45 AM. The hike up to En Gaudu—where you can spot marmots—takes about an hour and a half at the donkey's pace.
Dogs are not permitted in the Orlu Reserve.
You must bring your own picnic and enough water for the day, as there are no shops or food outlets on site.
Everyone must wear closed-toe shoes (sneakers, hiking boots, etc.).
Under your responsibility, a child (between 3 and 8 years old, less than 27 kg) can climb on the donkey. If you have one, we thank you for providing a helmet (if not, we lend you one). For children up to 3 years, we advise you to provide a backhead baby carrier bag.

For the period at the end of July, beginning of August we advise you to book well in advance.
The rest of the year (or if you have a dog), we offer you the circuit "around the castle of Lordat", from Unac.
